He is a laboratory physician skilled in Medical Devices, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Research. A strong research professional while working with National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Quality Council, Government of India as a NABL Lead Assessor ISO 15189: 2012 focused in Medical Laboratories.
Abstract:
The patient’s of today play a much larger role in decision making regarding their treatment than previously. Today’s clinical laboratory (lab) is one of a hospital’s largest departments and provides about two-thirds of all objective information on patients’ health status. The global laboratory informatics market is estimated to reach USD 3.8 billion by 2024 from USD 2.6 billion in 2019 at a CAGR of 7.5% during the forecast period. Growth in this market is mainly driven by the increasing need for laboratory automation, increasing need to comply with regulatory standards and the growing demand in biobanks. Thus, paradigm shift and innovations in lab medicine & healthcare are helping to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care to the millions of people in a timely, costâ€effective, and sustainable manner. Over the next two decades, it is observed that there is a great potential for AI to improve healthcare. The remarkable promise of AI is particularly centered on machine learning, including deep learning. Thus, processing large amounts of data and recognizing patterns in the data in multi-layer network of interconnected units (like neurons). This is called as The Internet of Things (IoT). The National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) India aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. It is developed with a vision of to create a national digital health ecosystem that supports universal health coverage in an efficient, accessible, inclusive, affordable, timely and safe manner. These developments will not replace the role of physicians and other health care professionals but will provide them with highly accurate tools to detect disease, stratify risk in a more consistent manner and optimize patient-specific management.
