ADDICTION INDUCED NEUROLOGICAL/ BRAIN DISORDERS

Drug abuse is defined as the manipulative drug-seeking behavior or the compulsive use of drugs for non-medical purposes, despite harmful side-effects. Some people suffer from emotional problems like anxiety, tension, fear, loneliness, etc., leading to neuroses. The drugs which primarily affect mental processes to improve moods are called psychoactive drugs and, hence, are classified under CNS stimulantsNeurosis and psychosis are mental illnesses which are associated with psychological disorders involving the brain. A prolonged CNS stimulation always results in depression. There are many neurological conditions that are associated with substance use disorders such as Cerebrovascular Accident (Strokes), DementiaSeizuresAtaxiaEncephalopathy.
